Out-reaching to other schools and local organizations

At Wildlife Neighbors, we believe that fostering a sense of community is essential for our urban rewilding efforts. Through interactive events and data-sharing networks, we aim to bring students and urban citizens together to celebrate the vibrant wildlife in our midst.

Engaging Students

  • Hosting a Wildlife Scavenger Hunt, where participants explore our school campus to discover and learn about the local wildlife species.

  • Organizing regular meetings with collaborating schools to analyze camera trap data and discuss our research findings.

  • Sharing infrared camera footage during whole-school presentations to raise awareness and knowledge of indigenous animals.

  • Engaging students from grade 9 and up to actively participate in installing and managing the camera traps on our campus.
